Trying to achieve a good balance with the sky and foreground. The light was disappearing very fast. Some PP work in lightroom using the adjustment tool (which is fantastic)

Beach Huts
Taken with the combination of the Canon 5DMKII and Canon 24-105mm f/4L lens. It make a beautiful combination too.
I was worried about paying for an L series lens, as they are expensive, but it only took a few minutes to realised that I had made a good choice. I will be using this lens as a walkabout lens, but more importantly I will try this for Landscape shots.
I will let you know how it works out.

Sunset over Mersea
Took a lovely walk last night, down to the sea wall. The weather was pretty much perfect last night, not too warm, but very still. This is a HDR shot, as I didn't have my ND Grad filters with me last night. Also it's handheld (I must take my Tripod with me more often).
Use Photomatrix to produce the shot.
Hope you like it.

Mersea Sunset
Sunset over Mersea Island. Went for a really nice walk this afternoon. Was a great December day, nice a fresh with glorious sun. Waited for the sun to set over these boats. Not a breath of wind either.
