Very happy with the performance of the 5D MKII focusing with the Sigma 150-500mm in OS2 mode.

Very happy with the performance of the 5D MKII focusing with the Sigma 150-500mm in OS2 mode.
I was worried that the 5D MKII wouldn't be a good combination with the Sigma 105mm Macro lens. But I think this one shows that it is a good combo.
Taken this morning, applied some filters in CS4 to give it a warm feeling, but it was very cold outside!!
The sun is out today, so out in the garden this morning taking some shots with the Canon 5D MKII and the Sigma 105mm Macro lens.
Very cold outside, still in the minus figures at 9.30am.
Come on, who doesn't like the cute little birds. At Fingringhoe Wick nature reserve, they have a feeding station outside the visitor centre, so they Blue Tit's and Great Tit's are used to people walking around. So it is possible to get very close to the birds.
This little bird was very interested in me, and was great that he looked straight at the camera.
This was a lucky shot. I saw this flock taking off from the shoreline. I quickly changed the OS mode on the Sigma 150-500mm lens to OS2 which is the setting for panning and moving, hit the AI Focus on the Canon and fired off about 5 shots.
Lucky? I'll let you be the judge. :-)
Taken at Fingringhoe Wick Nature reserve. This was the only Grey Plover that we saw this afternoon. We arrived before high tide, so that we could see the birds being pushed to the shoreline.
Yes the return of the Turnstone's. They seem very plentyful on Mersea Island and this one was very obliging with having it's photograph taken.
It was actually running past me, but was a little to fast for me to react to.
This is the only Teal we saw today, he was hanging around with a big group of Widgeons
Lucky to get the shot of the Teal, as about a minutes after taking this shot it flew off.
I saw someone's dog running around Cudmore Grove today, I thought I would grab a couple of shots.
I little crop in Photoshop and a little boost to the colour is all the processing I did on this one. Pretty happy with the results.
